Ken's son and daughter and two of his three grandchildren came to visit in Puerto Rico and helped to celebrate his 60th birthday. We all managed a visit to Old San Juan. Viejo San Juan is on a peninsula on the north coast of Puerto Rico and was guarded by two strong forts. it was a walled city and most of the wall is still standing. You can visit both forts. The town inside the wall is gorgeous and is filled with restaurants, hotels, and shops catering to tourists, but also has a residential area where "real people actually live". We could easily imagine living in Viejo San Juan!
